How to Apply for Aston University
Here are the steps to apply, but before we get into the application process, let’s take a look at the scholarships available to you:
Vice Chancellor Achievement scholarship – For the vice chancellor scholarship, Applicants will receive £500 from either the Aston Achievement Scholarship or the vice chancellor achievement scholarship. You don’t need to apply, the University will assess your eligibility on the basis of your A Level or other results from UCAS (or at enrolment).
The Aston achievement scholarship is open to all UK students who have achieved BBB or higher in an A-Level (or specific grades from an A-Level qualification list).
Aston Support Scholarship – In this type of scholarship Applicants will receive £1250 for each year of their degree with a total of £5000 available. Aston Support Scholarships are available to UK students who have been care leavers, are children of a military family or are refugees.
You don’t need to apply for this scholarship. The University will assess your eligibility automatically using information from your A Level ( or other) results available on the UCAS website or on enrolment.
Aston Extra Scholarship – Students who apply for this scholarship will receive £50 for each year of study, up to £200 in total.
You are eligible to apply for an Aston Extra Scholarship if you have completed the formal enrolment process and all the associated checks. There is no need to apply as the University will assess your eligibility based on the information you provide during enrolment.
Aston Placement Scholarship – Great and successful students will receive £1250 to cover their living expenses for their placement year. To be eligible for the Placement scholarship you must have a MAP-approved placement record at the end of the payment period in November 2023.
You will need to register your placement activity for term 1 by the 1st of November 2023 to be eligible for the scholarship.

You don’t need to apply for a scholarship, as Aston University will base its award decisions on UCAS figures, household income data from the Student Loans Company (SLC), and information held on the University’s records for placement years. Scholarship entitlement will usually be known by the 30th of November 2023.
